Goodbye to 2008 with this survey from _breathtaken!

Following Macy's example, I made my own soundtrack for 2008. I wanted to include "Huwag Kang Matakot" by the Eraserheads because it meant so much to me this year, but Mixwit doesn't have it.

So anyway, here's my last tape before Mixwit shuts down. It's um--I wouldn't say healthy--a weird mix of acoustic, musical theatre, folk-pop, indie, whatever. It even has Edith Piaf, lol.

When I was watching The Unbearable Lightness of Being before midnight, I kept on telling myself I should go to sleep right after it ends. Actually I was already drifting off to sleep in some parts but whenever Daniel Day-Lewis spoke I kept on waking up again.

And then when I realized I had lost Iruel I couldn't go to sleep anymore. Fuck it. I've got to get some sleep as I am picking up some materials for an article this afternoon and calling Netopia first thing in the morning in a desperate attempt to get Iruel back.

And I'm not even working at all. I'm just looking at old LJ entries for bits of poetry I've posted. I miss randomly updating LJ with irrelevant accounts of my daily life, like this one from 2004:

I am not used to waking up at 6am anymore. :( And I hate the LRT at this time of the day. I lasted for about 20 minutes standing up there. Owww, my aching limbs.

The funny thing is I thought the entry must have been about a romantic encounter but when I clicked the misleading subject it was just a random thought about riding a train to the university. Haha. Just shows how uneventful my life has been, romantically speaking.

Anyway, I'm getting tired of posting the Johnny icon mood theme every time. So for the first time in more than a year I'm using my Neko Kao mood things again because I've missed it, too, I have to admit.

WHY AM I STILL AWAKE, WHYYYY? And using PLDT Vibe, too, which is bad because it will show up in the phone bill and everyone in the house knows I am the only person who goes online at 3 fucking a.m.?

I want to go to the Falls again. And Baguio. Good old Baguio and the pine trees.

God, I suck at punctuation marks and gerunds at this time of day.

ETA at 4:34 a.m.: OMG our rooster has started crowing! I have never heard a rooster crow in years. And yes, we have a chicken. Two chickens, actually. Ask my animal-crazy cousin why we do--as if a dog and two puppies aren't enough.
